Tando's colour week

 Hello,

I seem to only blog on a Tando week now a days… lol, and today is no exception… this week is the colour week and so I'm presenting my 12th, and final, file and folders for the 366 challenge project.

The colour palette was:-

As its nearly Christmas, I decided that this month I would paint each file in one of the colours and keep it quite simple, but, festive.  The back I've left blank, but, painted, and I intend to write that week's happenings on it as a reminder of what 2020 has to offer us as it comes to a close…

My daily journalling doesn't get any better! and I've now finished the first two weeks of September, so a way to go until I've finished. But, I intend to journal daily thro' December and incorporate a daily event - I will let you see them, if anyone still visits here lol, in the new year..

but, for now, here's my September efforts..

What a week!

 Good Afternoon, on this bright and fresh remembrance Sunday.

Its so unseasonal out there, so warm for this time of year, I'm usually wrapped up in jumpers and socks but today I sit here in a t-shirt and my flip-flops!

This week has been one of those weeks! after, what 10 months, of managing to avoid the virus, not knowing anyone who has been infected and being ultra careful about not going out, other than to the shops, and work, I came into contact with someone who had tested positive.  The young girl in our office came back positive on Tuesday! to be honest it was a shock to the system.  You can get so that you're aware, but, as it doesn't affect you directly its almost like its not there, iykwim? Don't get me wrong, my hands are dry and cracked from continual washing and hand sanitising, trolleys are always wiped down, my desk and everything on it is wiped down every morning, but the stark reality of having it in your life was somewhat of a shock.  Anyway, two tests later I tested negative, but, the tests are unpleasant at best, and its something I don't want to do again in a hurry.  Anyway, that was Tuesday to Thursday, then Friday back in the office, but, Monday onwards working from home again.

In the meantime, over on the Tando blog, this week was the colour week.  So, folder and file number 11 for the 366 challenge has been completed.

realistically its a bit late in the year to join 2020's 366 challenge, and 2021 would be 365 but if you fancy a challenge you could still join in.

Happy hallowe'en

 Hello, its Hallowe'en today and so that we are all in that spooky, quirky sort of moody the weather is deciding to play its part, pouring down, cold, windy and dark… its nearly two o'clock as I type this but its so dark outside.  I suppose the pending news of the PM giving an address at 4pm is adding to it all…. 

This week Tando had some lovely items on Hochanda… the new product for the show was the matchboxes… they are really lovely and come with some inners for your to decorate.

I took photos on my phone and didn't take any proper ones before I sent them off, but, here is my matchbox and inners

I really enjoyed doing these.  The paint is paper artsy and I've added some extra marks using florescent poscas… my new fav…

Tando colour week

 Hello, oh boy what a week! full on at work, personal issues and the weather - all of a sudden we are thrown into Winter… the fires been on, but, possibly next week the heating is going to have to join it!!

This week over on the Tando blog its been the colour week.  As you know, I've been using the colours to decorate my 366 folders and files, and this month is no exception….

Here is the colour palette for October

so, I've been doing these all year… and I thought it was time to share what goes in them.

Each week has a template and folder strip of paper, each folded section depicts a day of the month, one side is the date and the other the image… here are 1-15th August, both sides.

When the month is finished I adhere them to the folders and stitch into the file… (you will have to excuse the images I can't draw, but, I do try lol)

I will share the entire project at the end of the year.

September colour post

Hello, it would appear that the only time I post it with my monthly colour posts for Tando Creative - I really must do better….

So, I decided to use the greens to paint leaves onto the folder and files for my 366 challenge… so, here they are:-

I will let you into a secret - this year is going so fast, even if it is virus prone, when writing the month on my leaf I wrote August - so, had to do it all again lol…. I was very conscious when I wrote September I half expected to write it wrong… lol

Colour post - August 2020

Hello,

I should have posted on Thursday, however, my battery in my camera was flat and I couldn't take the photos, so I charged my battery and wrote up the post to add the pictures! However, life got in the way, now coming back to it a couple of days later blogger has updated and remove both posts!! ohhhh still, here we are and trying to work out how to insert things, so hopefully you'll be able to see my colour post on behalf of Tando Creative!

ATC's

Hi,

Its my turn over on the Tando blog today and this week the theme has been ATC's.

Tando have greyboard ATC's as well as the coins with matching storage (which is currently reduced - check it out here)

My ATC had paint added direct to the greyboard using acrylic paint, I used the same colour scheme to paint one of the houses from the whimsical houses set 1.

The house was then placed "in my bubble" to show the effects of covid 19.

Colour post July 2020

It doesn't seem possible that another month has gone since I last posted.  So much has happened in the Plume household.

This week over on the Tando Creative blog has been the colour week… and this has been the palette for July:-

Lovely strong, bright and pastel (a contradiction but you know what I mean) colours just right for summer (which, at the moment seems to have left us!)

so, for 2020 I've been using the colour palette to decorate my 366 folders and files, so here are July's offerings:-

I decided to use all colours this time… lol

Colour Post

Hi,

I'm not sure who still visits my blog - blogs seem to have been of the age and gone it would seem.

Life is hard for everyone at the moment with lockdown and the virus still taking lives daily.  Gt Britain is now the second highest country for deaths behind the US - even Italy, where  everyone thought the virus to be out of control had a total death rate, first spike, of 38k - we are now 40k plus and rising daily - too early to get children back to school and opening up shops?  When the beaches were open people were laying there like sardines do you really think people will take notice of social distancing when in a shop? I'm going to carry on shopping on line I think, but, saying that, my shopping habits have changed and I'm not getting as much as I did.

Anyway, with all these worries and woes its lovely to disappear into the craft room and create.  Throw some colours around, create junk journals and also follow the 366 quotes for Tando Creative.

Morning, its my turn over on the Tando Blog today, bringing the colour theme week to an end.

So, following on with this years theme for my colours, here are May's file an folders for the 366 Tando Challenge 

tbh they didn't turn out as pictured in my head…did think the circles would be a bit more mixed… it just didn't work, but, until you try you don't know do you -  then I had the folder and one of the files upside down too - the lighter colour should be on the bottom!! think the sun yesterday went to my head lolxx

Rainbow

Hello, how are you all? hope you're all keeping well during our lockdown.  I must admit I'm getting used to working from home and being in lockdown, and working paperless - when I get back to the office my desk is going to be so much clearer lol.

Today its my turn over on the bubbly funk blog and I've created another journal page.  I'm finding it really therapeutic to do these journal pages each week.

Think Positive thoughts

Good Morning on this Wednesday the start of our third week of lockdown.

How sad is our world with thousands of deaths across the globe every day, with people, mainly teenagers, not taking heed of the lockdown, which will delay us getting back to normal.  So many of us working from home, families not being able to see each other - thank goodness for technology  - FaceTime and messaging…. We've been FaceTiming our son, Josh, who lives in Japan, for the last 3 years, although I must say at the moment it is a worry with him being over there on his own.

Anyway, today, its my turn over on the Bubbly Funk Blog and my theme this week is:—

yep - stay positive - concentrate on the good! the people who have recovered.  The fact our families are safe.

Wednesday again, the weeks seem to be flying, even tho' we are all in lockdown.

How are you all managing? I must admit we didn't stockpile and had to pop out to get supplies - will, I don't thing any of us will take anything for granted again will we?

You know when you sit at your craft desk and your mind wanders, thats what happened here…I did take this photograph… 

in case I decided to use it for my DT, but at this stage I still wasn't sure where I was going or if I'd ever show it… but, here's what I ended up with:-

Tando Colours

Hello,

In this horrid time that we're living in at the moment, its nice to escape to my craft room.  To have my lovely paints, stencils, stamps, inks around me and to play.  For once, to be happy with what I've got and to create using what's to hand… Ok, I still look, but, at the moment its look only lol.

Today its my turn over on the tando blog, and as usual, the first week of the month is our colour week;Aprils colours are:-

lovely bright yellows to cheer us up… and in line with my theme for this year, here is my book and files for the 366 challenge for April.

Create Art

Hello to all my visitors on this rather strange Wednesday.

Whats happening world wide is scary isn't it, and just a little surreal.  I have never experienced empty shelves in the supermarket and to see the elderly looking so dejected, after a harrowing trip to get there too I suspect, is just heart breaking.  I for one haven't stockpiled! if we are on lock down for any period of time we will have to eek out what we have and manage on what we can get.  I can't believe the greed of some!

Anyway, a way to lighten our souls is to sit in our craft room/area and create art…

This is my project for Bubbly Funk this week - week 3 of the bee too…… pop along and see how I created it…

Hap-bee Birthday

Hello, what sad and scary times we are currently in.  With mass hysteria in the shops and businesses' closing and staff encouraged to work from home, where will it end.  I suppose the fact that China is now opening its borders to visitors gives us hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  However, the way that people are behaving, stock piling in a way that is selfish and totally irresponsible is shameful!

Anyway, putting all that to one side for a while.  I spent the afternoon playing with my gelli plate and make loads of prints ready to use for my projects.

The stencil was from the indigo-blu mixed media pack which can be found in the bubbly-funk shop.
