more Christmas cards...

inspired by Anneke De Clerck

I used the same techniques as over on Anneke's post here….  instead of using the bright colour combos that Anneke used I used the Christmas colours out of the new palettes by Lin Brown and JFY….

Anneke De Clerck inspired card….

I'm not going to be a last minute minnie this year with my Christmas cards….making cards is where my paper craft journey began and I still enjoy making them…..I have been following the Paperartsy blog this month, but, as usual time hasn't allowed any creativity…but, this afternoon I found a couple of hours to sit and play - unfortunately, lack of card blanks stopped play!! well, making these cards…

So, inspired by Anneke De Clerck's post here, over on the paperartsy blog I made this:-

So, instead of the paint background I used a distress stain…the bauble is from JFY028 set and was stamped onto cardstock and then coloured using distress pens…. the Happy Christmas is from JFY026 and was again coloured in using the distress markers, I doodled in the corners and added some Christmas themed washi tape and bling to the corners.

frighten me….

is this weeks theme over on the Tando creative blog…well, it had to be something Hallowe'en themed.  I have been building on this piece for several weeks, at the moment I don't seem to be able to settle to anything and will find an excuse to do anything other than what I should be…so, this piece has evolved in time… and here it is finished

The base is a large canvas board.  I started off by adhering to the base a piece from the Tando graveyard set and the bottom section of my coffin (from the skeletons set).  I then painted the board with a base coat then added various tones of purple/blue/black acrylic paints.  I used the cobweb 2 mask and added a couple of cobwebs to the base …. I then painted the coffin set grey and blended in black and white the lid was stamped with my favourite crackle stamp …. the bats, spiders, spider web and owl were all painted with black acrylic paint and then crackle glaze added, the skull was painted grey and then stamped with a crackle stamp by Cherry Pie…I added some black card to the back of the skull and added a couple of white dots for his eyes…. the girl is a stamped image from The Halloween set of stamps from Artistic Outpost and the halloween tag is from an old set by Tim Holtz….all the Tando chipboard pieces I have used are available from the Tando Retail store.  Do pop on over to the Tando blog this week as we have loads of "frighten me" projects to share.

Orange and black

is this weeks theme over on the Tando creative blog and today I'm sharing this:-

The base is a tando rectangular frame, I adhered the three frame sections together and then painted with black acrylic paint…the backplate I painted with orange acrylic paint and then stamped with black versafine ink and a crackle stamp from cherry pie stamps.

I used the following Tando halloween elements:-
Skeleton - this was painted grey and then stamped with the crackle stamp - the edges were inked with black soot distress ink.
spiders - painted black - the drop down spider had a layer of glossy accents added then distress glitter - the little spider at the bottom was painted and eyes added.
pumpkins, skulls and bat - pumpkins were painted orange and then a layer of distress glitter added, skulls treated the same as the skeleton but with eyes added, bat painted black, eyes added then a layer of glossy accents.

Pop on over to the Tando creative blog this week to see some more orange and black projects.

inchies week

its inches week over on the Tando creative blog this week and so far my Tando DT colleagues have come up with some fantastic projects….today its my turn to share with you my offering..

Mr mojo has gone off on his holiday's so I decided that perhaps going back to basics might encourage him to come home (no such luck) anyhow…

I took 3 inches from the Tando creative straight inchie pack - available here

Inchie 1 - I painted the base with Paperartsy fresco finish paint in chalk and then coloured over the top with caran d'ache fibralo pens…blending as I went, I then added some lines…a butterfly was cut from a sheet of paper found in my "bits" wallet.

Inchie 2 - painted with paperartsy paints again in tones of orange….part of a Lynne Perrella stamp was then stamped with black ink.

Inchie 3 - was covered with book paper - now this paper had been left from a previous project where I had stamped the house set from Darcy's stamps EDY08 - I choose the piece that i liked the look of and then adhered that to my inchie….I then coloured it in using gelatos…..

Each inchie was then treated to an edging of treasure gold.

Don't forget to pop into the Tando blog for some more inchie projects.
