and...

we go thro' life, ambling along and WHALLOP something comes along to shake us to the core, makes us sit up and take stock of what its all about.

On Wednesday my dear brother was involved in a serious car accident.  He's been seriously ill in hospital, and for all the NHS faults they've looked after him really well.   They managed to stabilise him and he had his op Friday, so, hopefully, we'll now start the long and painful road to recovery, in whatever form that may leave/take us.

It really does make you realise how petty small squabbles are, how irrelevant some things are to our well being - I must say its really made me think about a few things in my life!!

So, I missed SCD day, but, here it is, better late than never hey?

As its a new month its also a new challenge - and as so many people liked the free rein last month,  and as we're on the run up to christmas we decided to leave it as that, but, this time the challenge will be the theme for a piece...so, this week its Laura's turn to choose and she's chosen the theme "HOUSES"

Here's my house:-

The base is a blank wooden key box which was painted, had inka gold, paint, tissue tape, ferro, mica powders, you name it all thrown at it.  The inside was lined with graphics 45 steampunk paper, the the embellishments on the roof are tando cogs, tim holtz idea-ology pieces and some lovely little charms which I added images too.....
Do pop on over and have a look at the other gorgeous pieces the dt have made - and hopefully you'll be able to join us this week.

xx
