This week its Vintage week over on the Tando Creative Blog and its my turn to kick off the weeks pieces....
I seem to have developed a liking for this paperblocking, paint and then texture paste (this one is paperartsy grungepaste and black acrylic), with treasure gold over the top! so that is the base on this Tando Creative ATC base....I then coloured some kraft paper with red distress ink and cut out using the tattered florals die...making it up into the flower shown. The frame is a Tando bookplate which was coloured using treasure gold and then a coating of distress glaze, the backing is from a graphics 45 paper pad, a couple of pins finished it all off.
Don't forget to pop over to the Tando blog during the week there are some great projects lined up by the DT.
Also, don't forget that Tando Creative are looking for 2 more DT members to join the team...please pop over to the blog to see the instructions for applying.

tags week
This week has been all about TAGS over on the Tando Creative blog. Today is my turn to show you my tag:-
The base is a size 8 tag which was coloured using distress inks and then flicked with water - sometimes its good to go back to basics with older products - then I stamped part of a prima text stamp around the edges, only inking it on the 3/4th impressions. Taking my tando products I painted them all with distress paint - then once dry I doodled on them with black pen before adding either glossy accents or crackle accents. The tando minis used were:- butterflies, flowers, rabbits, key and swirls then a piece of border for the base.
This week has seen some fab tags over on the blog do pop on over and take a look...

Out of the Hat Challenge - last post
Today sees my last piece as Guest DT member of the Out of The Hat Creations Challenge blog. Its been a great month and I've visited some lovely blogs, most of which I suspect I wouldn't have come across otherwise.
My final piece is titled:-
HEARTS AND SWIRLS
The base is a Tando ATC which was coloured using distress ink - the same ink was used to colour three mini hearts (a pack of these are up for grabs) and some mini arrows - I then added a coating of Ranger Crackle glaze to these parts.....the swirl, from Purple Onion Designs, was stamped directly onto the ATC and embossed with gold embossing powder....a bit of bling and a word sticker on the hearts finished off the piece.
This month has been sponsored by Tando Creative who have kindly donated this lovely selection of minis for one lucky Out of The Hat Challenge player...
A Big Thank You to the Out of the Hat ladies, Janet, Sandra and Chrissie for having me join them this month - its been great...

New Beginnings
is the theme over on the Tando Challenge blog this month. This week its my turn to show you my piece.
I've made a tag for a new baby! using my distress paints on a white piece of card stock I created the background then cut out using the alterations tag die - the stamp is by Purple Onion Stamps and baby was hi-lighted using glossy accents, doodling and distress ink darkened the edges. Tando mini buttons and the heart were also swirled into the distress paint before being given a glaze of distress crackle paint.
Do pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the other DT members have come up with and also if you enter you'll be in with a chance of winning some fab tando goodies.
