Owls...

seem to be everywhere at the moment, I'm hankering after one to go on my chamilia bracelet too!! lol - anyway, every now and again we have a "same but different" week over on the Tando Creative blog - this is where the DT are given the same product to create with and during the week each of us with our different skill base shows that product in a different way… this time we are working with the new owl releases - the larger owls or the mini's…

I have created a canvas board:-

I started off with a canvas board to which I added grungepaste using the Andy Skinner masks baroque and have your say I then added paperartsy fresco paint and when dry sanded the raised areas back before adding some treasure gold.  Taking my 2 large owls I painted these with acrylic paints, once dry I stamped the large wings with a crackle stamp and brown ink…glossy accents were added to the eyes. I printed off a saying, doodled and inked the edges, matted onto brown cardstock, I then added a couple of pieces of washi tape to the board and some faux nail heads…
