is the theme over on Hel's blog - where each Sunday she hosts the "sunday stamper" every week I intend to take part but the week flies and before I know it its Sunday again and I've missed the previous week -however, today I have had some time in my craft room and am scrapping in with this entry:-
I have used grungepaste thro' a couple of stencils onto a canvas and then painted using Paperartsy fresco paints, once dry I painted the heart with blood orange paint…..I stamped, using lid tops and pencils onto the canvas using white paint….I also stamped the larger flowers with text and my Ellen Vargo graphic stamps with black ink…..the "dream" metal embellishment and the metal corner where covered with paint and then scraped back a little….flowers, bling and treasure gold were all added…..
I would like to congratulate Hels on her 300th Sunday Stampers post…what a fantastic achievement and commitment, Thank You Hels…xx

Frame it...
Today sees the start of a new themed week over on the Tando blog - this week we are concentrating on the wide range of frames that Tando creative produce….
I'm kicking off the week with this "love frame with stand"
This piece is still a WIP (work in progress) as my niece gets married later in the year and I want to create a montage of photos from the day for her.
The frame comes in three pieces - a back plate, a solid "cut out piece" and a cut out piece….I started off by painting the base in black, for the solid piece I painted the edges black and the heart shapes red - I also stencilled the hearts using a deeper red paint and a heart stencil ….the top piece was painted black……red treasure gold was rubbed over the edges and used to hi-light the word "love" - the top two layers have been glued together ready to be finished off later in the year. The stand was also painted black with red treasure gold hi-lights.
Pop on over to the Tando creative blog this week to see more "frame it" pieces.

Tando creative - "same but different" week
This week over on the Tando creative blog we have all been working with the same product - the newly released "flexistrips" we were sent the "grass" version - there have been some great takes on the product, and all of us creating something different….today its my turn, and also the last post of the week….to me if a product goes around a circle then its truly flexible and with this in mind I created this:-
the base is a new and unused cheese box - this was painted with acrylic paints in two tones, a small tando butterfly was also painted in the same way…..sparkle and doodling added…… I also painted the flexi-strips the same way and then spritzed these with perfect pearls….even with all that product on it it still wrapped around the lid with no cracking…..I then decorated the top with stamped images, flowers, pins, and tando leaves painted with Paperartsy paints…..
I stamped the sides with one of my lovely new stamps and painted using Paperartsy paints and then added some bling….. the strips were shaped so that the lid would close easily.
see how easily it goes around the edge?
Pop on over to the Tando blog and see how the other members of the DT have used their strips.

Paperartsy - Darcy's journalling page - month 2
Well, last month I got left behind and I'm ashamed to say that the first two pages of my journal for 2014 are unfinished!! I did get the 24 layers of paint on, but, thats as far as it got…. I will finish it tho' (when?? lol)
Anyway, this month I'm on the ball…. I was very lucky to meet Darcy at Stevenage where I was a very lucky girl and bought all her new stamps (and the new Paperartsy paints, and a few other sets too - I know how spoilt am I?)
so, armed with new goodies, I've managed to follow Darcy's full and comprehensive instructions and created:-
so, I'm not going into any details here as its a true interpretation, with a few adjustments, of Darcy's pages which you can find here…… I have learnt loads of techniques, and as I'm not an artist, I've played with mixing paint to gain depth and texture - I've really enjoyed getting inky and messy and learning new paint techniques - this is definitely something I will try again.
Here are a couple of close ups…
and
I'm really looking forward to seeing pages 5 and 6….. thank you for the inspiration Darcy

Tando Creative Challenge Blog
today is the start of a new theme over on the Tando Challenge blog…. this month the theme is:-
BROWN, GREEN AND YELLOW
This colour way seems to be very poplar at the moment, and as I'm the proud owner of a new set of Paperartsy Fresco paints…I just had to use them and created this board:-
My base is a mixed media board which I painted with a layer of nougat paint (all paint is paperartsy fresco) once dry I added Chutney (a reddy brown), yellow submarine (very bright yellow) and seaweed (dark/limey green). Once dry I stencilled part of the long stencil with paint - but, this didn't show up very well so whilst the paint was still wet I added embossing powder in brown….. a branch - painted brown with glossy accents added, an owl - painted brown with bright yellow eyes, the flowers were painted with the same paints as the background adding a small amount of colour each time to build up the depth…..
I do hope that you'll join us this month - for one lucky player there is a choice of tando goodies up for grabs. Hope to see you there.
