metal art and introducing....

Miss Flo-Jo...

isn't she just GORGEOUS! Flo-jo came to live with  us nearly a year ago when her last owners drove her down the A12 from Essex and into Ipswich and dumped her! when Sian twisted our arm to let her come and live with us there were rules laid down, the initial one was she MUST get on with Ty as he comes first! so she bought home this bedraggled cat with no fur and the biggest scabs going! now look at her! she's still a bit wary and needs her "safe" spots but is slowly coming out of her shell and enjoying walking past Ty and starring daring him to chase her!! lol Her fur is now so soft and thick you'd never think that a year ago she was so bedraggled - shes now a very important part of our family - and one that has now taken to sleeping on my craft table in the sun under the window - she lays and stretches and my craft table is now very small!! lol but also exceptionally tidy as she like to take things!! and shes so clumsy most things end up over the floor if left!!

So, together we made this:-

The latest Bramford challenge is one that will be running for 6 months.  We each have a 6 piece childrens puzzle and 6 themes, a theme a month! February was metal.  I painted the base of the puzzle with gezzo then adhered grungeboard letters and tando butterflies to the base....taking a piece of metal I roughly cut to size and adhered tape and slowly peeled the metal over the piece gently easing into each shape as I went.  I then used a paper stump to ease the metal around the letters and shapes.  I then took my metal tools and played before adding black paint to the base and gently wiping off, the butterflies have treasure gold on them and the letters have the last of my viva decor inka gold on them - I am so fed up with those pots going mouldy I have chucked them away! must say that that was the worst craft purchase I have ever made!

Flo-Jo is wonderful and must like her picture taken she looks so calm about it all.

Love the jigsaw piece and the idea that you have a theme for each piece.

Best wishes Chrissie xx

Gorgeous puzzle piece Carol, but I think it's overshadowed by Flo-Jo! Glad she's settled in and 'helping' you craft! xxx

Yes your cat is very lovely Carol and you have certainly turned her around. :)

Love your jigsaw piece too. What colour was the metal before you painted it?

Ohhh Flo Jo is so gorgeous! What a cruel family she had. She has landed on her paws with you, I'm sure! Give her a -round-the-ears-scrunchie from me!
