is this weeks theme over on the Tando Creative Blog...today its my turn to show you what I've created:-
The base is from the oval basket kit - you get two oval blanks one of which is the base for the basket the other is spare! so using that as my base I took some texture paste and the harlequin mask and created a texture base. I then added a selection of paint and some more stencilling and doodling to create the base....the centre piece is a small journalling block which I added Galeria glass beads texture gel too - I have never used this before and it feels really strange - great, but, strange!! lol I then painted over the shape and added treasure gold to hi-light - the text is a stamp - the make I'm not sure....mini arrows and butterflies were painted with acryllics and doodled on before adding to the base....
Do take a look over on the Tando creative blog the dt create some gorgeous pieces - might be worth taking a cuppa with you.

Tando Distressing Week
lol its not what it sounds!! the theme this week over on the Tando Creative blog is Distressing and today its my turn to showcase my piece.
I've made a tag:-
I've taken a tag base and coloured it with distress inks then the edges were distressed, inked and doodled I then stamped my fav Cherry Pie crackle stamp for the background. Using the same three inks I've coloured the Tando white lined twinchie and stamped with a Paperartsy Lynne Perrella stamp which I've then added hi-lights the edges were then scraped with scissors before adding black paint. The Tando mini arrows were coloured using distress inks and then edged The butterflies were covered using a page from an old book and then the edges distressed and inked, A bit of tape, some bling and ideology bits added to a piece of ribbon which had been coloured using the same colours in distress stains finished it off!
There have been some great pieces by the DT this week over on the Tando blog do pop on over and see!

metal art and introducing....
Miss Flo-Jo...
isn't she just GORGEOUS! Flo-jo came to live with us nearly a year ago when her last owners drove her down the A12 from Essex and into Ipswich and dumped her! when Sian twisted our arm to let her come and live with us there were rules laid down, the initial one was she MUST get on with Ty as he comes first! so she bought home this bedraggled cat with no fur and the biggest scabs going! now look at her! she's still a bit wary and needs her "safe" spots but is slowly coming out of her shell and enjoying walking past Ty and starring daring him to chase her!! lol Her fur is now so soft and thick you'd never think that a year ago she was so bedraggled - shes now a very important part of our family - and one that has now taken to sleeping on my craft table in the sun under the window - she lays and stretches and my craft table is now very small!! lol but also exceptionally tidy as she like to take things!! and shes so clumsy most things end up over the floor if left!!
So, together we made this:-
The latest Bramford challenge is one that will be running for 6 months. We each have a 6 piece childrens puzzle and 6 themes, a theme a month! February was metal. I painted the base of the puzzle with gezzo then adhered grungeboard letters and tando butterflies to the base....taking a piece of metal I roughly cut to size and adhered tape and slowly peeled the metal over the piece gently easing into each shape as I went. I then used a paper stump to ease the metal around the letters and shapes. I then took my metal tools and played before adding black paint to the base and gently wiping off, the butterflies have treasure gold on them and the letters have the last of my viva decor inka gold on them - I am so fed up with those pots going mouldy I have chucked them away! must say that that was the worst craft purchase I have ever made!

Love, Love me do....
is the theme this month over on the Challenge blog... today is my turn to share my piece:-
The base is the Tando Creative Heart Wreath kit.....I've only used a small selection of the parts which means I have loads left over for other projects (three hearts were used on Monday's post) - I've painted the base, hearts and kisses with acrylic paint and then covered all parts in Ranger Rock Candy distress paint.....words from a Bo Bunny sheet were then added to the hearts along with pieces of bling. The birds are from the birds pack, these have been painted white and then red and blue inks added - I have "borrowed" the bird pose from my DT teamie....Dana.....a piece of twine finishes off the piece.
Do pop on over to the challenge blog - the DT each take it in turns to share their pieces each Wednesday and there are some great goodies up for grabs for one lucky tandoette too!

Yellow, Red and Orange
is the theme over on the Tando Creative Blog this week and I'm kicking off the week with this:-
The base is a Tando ATC blank - the white board gives the chippie a good base for all mediums. I've used the harlequin mask with some texture paste and then when dry painted the entire atc with acryllic paint. The hearts are left over from the Heart Wreath kit - two have been coloured with distress ink, stamped and then a layer of utee added, the third heart has been frantaged! lol. Stamping and doodling in the background finish it all off.
All week different members of the DT will be showing their pieces so do pop on over and take a look.

"Love is in the air....."
...is the theme for this week over on the Tando Creative blog.
It was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary this week so I made them this:-
The base is a canvas board which was painted with brown acrylic paint then a covering of Paperartsy crackle glaze then sand paint on the top......I then spritzed one of the new dylusions inks and this formed the base for my Tando Heart which had been treated in the same way as the base....taking Tandos mini hearts, mini butterfly, 50 from the numbers set and small leaves I painted these and then added a layer of glossy accents. the gold swirls are cut from a journalling block, painted and crackle glaze added. Flowers are from my stash.....
