Papermaze Blog Hop

If you are taking part in the very first Papermaze blog hop you'll have reached me via Wendy.

The focus of the bloghop is the August kit and the theme of "Summer".

Here is the kit:-

There are six doubled sized 12x12 papers, 12x 12 sheets of bazzil cardstock, pack of rub ons and a selection of prima flowers, lettering, buttons, pouch, pin and other goodies (contents on the embellishments vary), there is also an add on cardstock pack ...as you go around the bloghop you will see all of us using this kit in our own style.  I've created this:-

...its a little book to record your summer, places for piccies and journalling and general notes - the basis of the book was made by using the kraft cardstock, in the additional paper pack, and cutting it using a die cutter into four pages....the pages were then covered using multi-medium and various papers from within the kit.  The front page has some Tando Creative mini flowers, leaves and a bird, all of these were coloured using the summer distress inks - all have been outlined in black, the flowers have had white hi-lights added, the branch has had a coat of matte glaze, whilst the leaves and bird have had a coat of crackle glaze.  A rub on from the kit was added to a piece of cardstock for the central point.

Pages 2 and 3 - these have been spritzed using the dylusions inks to give the background a splattered look - page two's embellishments have been created by cutting out images from a sheet of the cardstock, distressing and inking the edges and stickles added....the bling is by Prima (and one of my fav's).  Page three has a mat of cardstock and the little envelope added, inside is a tag which has been coloured using the distress inks....one of the flowers with punched out leaves and the pin finish off the page.

Page 4 and 5 - page four has a space ready for a picture.  One of the word rub ons has been added and a spritz of ink - page 5 is the larger envelope which has been spritzed with the spray inks and a rub on added, this also has tags of differing lenths for daily notes, these have been numbered.

Page 6 and 7 - page 6 is for picutes. Page 7 - I placed the white lettering from the kit straight onto the page and sprtized four colours of ink over them.  Leaving them for a few moments before lifting the lettering leaving a stencilled effect - I also have the lettering for another project.

This is the back page - using contrasting cardstock and a rub on - edges have been inked using the distress inks.

Hope that you like my project!  To be in with a chance to win a kit, visit all the blogs on the hop and leave a comment, including the papermaze blog, and you'll be entered into the draw - the hop is open until Friday - Good Luck.  Don't worry if you get lost, just pop back to the blog and go from there...

Don't forget that the Papermaze kits are available on a monthly basis for £10 each with additional add ons also available.

Your next hop is over to Karen's blog......

TFL xx
