cor just made it - where has this month gone?
APU I didn't have all the products that was used on the original tag, but, I improvised with what I had and this is the result...
The base of the tag is kraftcore which was cut with the Tim Holtz tag die and then ran thro' the bigshot using a bark embossing folder, this was then sanded back.....the butterflies were as per Tim's instructions, and the phrase was stamped onto a journalling ticket...
Do pop on over to Tim Holtz's blog to see the other FAB takes on his March Tag...

Birthdays, Birthdays and Birthdays....
We always seem to have so many birthdays......and sometimes, some cards, you just don't want to give away..... when us croppin' girls get together we're always talking about recognising peoples style and knowing who makes each piece before the name appears...I don't think I have a set style, ok I like the distressed grungy look but I don't think I have a definate "me" thing going on...perhaps you disagree?
anyway, it was/is two friends birthdays...here are the cards I made for them....
two very different styles wouldn't you agree? I must say that I love both of them!!

Mothers Day tomorrow and what a lovely way to treat your Mum than with a lovely handmade gift...
Here's one I made for Tando Creative, but, its not just for Mothers day but birthdays and just to say.....
Everything on this piece is Tando apart from the inks and paints and embossing powders.....the heart, "Mum" and the flowers are included in the pack, the leaves were part of a large stem of leaves which I cut down, the swirls were also cut down from a larger piece. The flower heads were coloured using DI's and then had either crackle glaze or matt glaze added and left to dry - all edges were then doodled!! the swirl was overstamped before the crackle glaze was added just to add a little something!! lol the Mum was embossed with vantage embossing powder....

Thursday 15th March...
Its my turn to host the challenge blog this month - Karen and I are taking it in turns allowing Di to do some more designing of that fab chippie!!
The theme this month is:-
Spring is in the Air - this is loosely based, but, must include a spring somewhere!
Here is my entry:-
The base is an ATC sized canvas which was painted with various acryllic paints....the wording is by Tim Holtz and the bird stamps are by Paperartsy, the cog with wings on at the bottom is Tando and has been painted then crackle glaze placed over the top - so where are the springs, they are silver and haven't photographed well, but, one is on the left of the picture at the bottom - not well placed due to the blue sequined waste painted bubbled and the other is coming off the back of the bird on the right! on reflection should have painted the wire!! lolxx
Do pop on over to the challenge blog for more inspiration and to join in the challenge - don't forget that there is a prize of your choice should you win. You don't have to use Tando products but if you do you'll get entered twice!!

Stampotique Designers Challenge 49 - Purple, pink and black
So, when I read the colour scheme it didn't say come on create with me....but, once I'd got into it I quite like the colours together...here's what I came up with...
The background was created with dylusion spray inks, masked with water and then pink, purple and black acryllic paints were used to add texture. Gill by Daniel Torrente is my main image and was stamped on a scrap of the left over background paper, the purple mat was stamped with swirl stalks. The beaded pins were made with black, pin and purple beads and matching buttons and trim also added.
