Tando Stencils

Hello and welcome to my little ol' blog.

Today it's my turn over on the Tando creative blog and this week we are concentrating on stencils/masks.

Here is my piece:-

The base is a long tag which had some texture paste (once I found a tub that hadn't dried out!) added using the Andy Skinner "have your say" stencil.  Once dry, some torn book paper was added before adding acrylic paint.  I replaced the stencil and using white paint hi-lighted the letters and added some sequin waste stencilling (think I use this on everything!).  Some elements from the Whimsical birds 2 pack were painted and stencilled and then adhered to my tag along with a Tim Holtz sentiment which was coloured using distress ink.

Paperartsy ATC 2

Hello everyone… I'm getting right back into my ATC's, just love working on this size.

Here is my second entry to the Paperartsy ATC themed weeks.

The base is another chipboard ATC which had the Lin Brown's fresco paints added to create my background, this was then stamped using a very old paperartsy stamp that was a Craft Stamper subscription gift - this was stamped using snowflake paint… various house hold items were used to build up my layers and some sequin waste was used too…. a stamped sentiment along with a pen nib finished it all off.

ATC's

Hello on this wintery Sunday afternoon, we have been lucky here in Suffolk all week as other parts of the country had snow, in various depths, but, we still had blue skies and sun, albeit slightly windy!! But, today it caught up with us…although its now raining so the laying snow will disappear, just hope it doesn't freeze overnight!

I adore making ATC's and have folders full of my work and various swaps I've taken part in over the years, so when Paperartsy said for the next few weeks the theme is ATC's, well, I had to take part…

Here is effort 1:-

The base is a chipboard ATC which was painted using fresco acrylic in irish cream, mocha mousse and butternut, this was then spritzed with a distress ink in barn door and blotted.

Once dry I stamped a section of the large butterfly stamp on HP 1506EZ stamp plate directly onto the ATC…I then stamped again onto some text paper, cut out my butterflies and adhered these using silicone glue…a bit of treasure gold on the edges finished it off.

Hello, its Anything goes week over on the Tando Creative blog this week and today its my turn!!

I was so poorly before, over and just after Christmas that I missed the deadline to post off my Hochanda samples to Di for the telly, so, here they are:-

Tando Creative Colour Theme - January 2018

Hello, and Happy New Year to you all… I hope that you had a great Christmas.  Unfortunately, both myself and my OH were poorly all over Christmas and New Year!!

Today its my turn to close the weekly theme over on the Tando Creative Blog.  This week, being the first week of the new month, and year! we have our colour theme…

This is January's colour palette:-

this year I'm going to do mixed media boards for my colour themes; this is mixed media board number 1/18

Mixed media board size 80 x 116mm in mdf.  A butterfly from the new packs and "pushed out bits from cogs" were then adhered to the board, I then added some dictionary paper.  The blue toned paints were then added along with a crackle glaze before more paint was added over the top… sticker sentiments finished it off.

December colour theme - Tando

Hello, today starts the last colour theme of 2017 over on the Tando creative blog.

The colour palette for this festive season is:-

and here is my last ATC of 2017:-

The base, as with all others, is a chipboard ATC base.  This was painted using the DecoArt media line, once dry this was then stamped using a Tim Holtz stamp.  Tando Christmas minis:- candlestick, stocking and baubles were painted and the either given a layer of stickles or glossy accents.  the bow is from the mini bows and parcels set….. all items available on the Tando retail site.

Anything goes….

Hello! well, winter has well and truly arrived in our home… my OH is now heading into week 3 of his cold and I started last week, and still don't feel right, hope it doesn't hang around too long!!  Its my turn to post over on the Tando creative blog today, so its a good job I already had this made, although not photographed!!

The theme for this week is "anything goes" this is where any makes that don't fit into the normal weekly schedules can be posted…. here is my make:-

Us crafters like to recycle yes? well, whilst looking for suitable material to make covers using my Eileen Hull sizzix journal die I espied the recent amazon delivery packing… just the right size, so off it escaped to my craft room…lol.  It works brilliantly, just the right thickness to create lovely sturdy covers.  After cutting I added some Ranger texture paste thro' the Tando Creative criss cross stencil, once this had dried I added a wash of white and brown acrylic paint.  Distress ink was used on the edges and to add further stencilling using my favourite sequin waste.  Some rub ons and treasure gold were then added to the base.  

A bird from the whimsical birds 2 set was added, this was painted using acrylics and then stencilled with white paint… doodling was added along with glossy accents to finish him off.
