Paperartsy - time

Time has been the theme these last two weeks over on the Paperartsy blog… loads of things have been happening this fortnight and I've only just finished this piece.

I took a photo of it earlier but couldn't get it straight, so the memory card went back into the camera, but, it looks like the locking bar on the side has broken off and the card is locked!! fingers crossed the other half can:- 1) unlock it or 2) has a spare!! lol

Anyway, here is my wonky project…

I used paperartsy fresco paints on my canvas, along with various stencils and a text stamp…. the central clock is by Tando and was painted, stamped and then a covering of crackle glaze..the clock arms were given a covering of frantage embossing powder… the stamped birds, clocks and the measuring tape are all stamps from the hot picks set 1107 - all have been stamped onto smoothy cardstock and then coloured in using distress inks… before being cut out and given an layer of glossy accents…all edges had some treasure gold added.

Hearts and Swirls

is this weeks theme over on the Tando Creative Blog…today its my turn to share my project:-

My background was created with a mixture of paperartsy paints….and some scribbling with my neocolour 2's…. Using the long flourish mask I added paint to the background and added grunge paste to my main shapes.  I used an inner from a Karen Frame and two twinchies - one entire and one cut in half for the roof - once the grungepaste was dry I added various colours of brown paperartsy paint…using two hearts from the grab bags I added paint and once dry I added crackle accents to the hearts….mini flowers and butterflies were painted and doodles added… pop on over to the Tando blog this week for some more heart and swirls projects.

Paperartsy take 2

Hi, another post from me today, unheard of hey!

I just adore stencils and decided to have a play yesterday with some clean and simple cards…. its getting so expensive to post bulky cards so I like to add dimension using colour instead and using stencils and masking really helps to achieve this…

Based loosely on Paula Pascual's card I have made this:-

I used distress inks thro' my line stencil for the base and another spotty stencil for the background, also using distress ink.  My Darcy Mini 11 for my main image and coloured in using my intense pencils and then added some stickles and once dry a blob of perfect pearls finished it off…

Layers...

is this weeks theme over on the Tando Creative blog…and here is my layered piece:-

My base is a mixed media board - my first layer was the paint the base with gesso.  Then, once dry, I added a layer of paint…. the third layer was some text stamping with left over paints… the next layer was to stencil thro' the sequin waste mask and the "have your say" mask and next layer was stencilling white paint thro' the baroque mask… my final layer was two painted, stamped and glossy accented hearts from the heart grab bag and some die cut words.… the edges were painted and doodled.

Pop on over to the Tando creative blog and see if you are the winner of the June challenge…

Paperartsy stencil fortnight

Over on the Paperartsy blog this fortnight the theme has been based on stencils.  I must admit I have a slight addiction to stencils and have loads… and, unlike some other products, all have been used - ok, some more than others, but, I just love the effect they have with different mediums on my projects… so, for the Paperartsy challenge I have made this journal page…

My first layer was to add grungepaste thro' a Paperartsy stencil (EEG016) and then when dry I added fresco paints…I think, and I'm sure, they were the new Lynne Brown colours…. once these were dry I then reused the same stencil and added black chevrons and dots… using some of my left over paint and a piece of cut and dry I added some sequin waste stencilling… I also added some letters and numbers….Taking some smoothy cardstock I stamped from the Lin Brown plate 16 colouring in using my new inktense pencils - I layered up the flower and added a small piece of bling… the larger flower had a funky stem added….
