Hallowe'en

Hello on this Hallowe'en Wednesday…. today is my first Wednesday post over on the bubbly funk blog - this will now be my regular day, so you'll know where to find me!!

Today, I decided to do a one page book - I've not seen these before and they are really easy to do so I will be making many more!!

This is the front of my book.
Using my gelli plate, I added paint, added a stencil, and then took a print with an a4 sheet of paper.  Using one of the new Bubbly Funk Stencils (released tomorrow) I added stars to my sheet and painted.  Due to the base being paper it took a while for each stage to dry… and I must admit I did get a bit impatient!! Once dry I folded into the book.

I decorated each double spread separately….

each page was decorated using neocolour 2 pencils, stamps and doodles!!

Hallowe'en post 1

Hello, today its my turn over on the Tando Creative blog - the theme this week is Anything goes - so, on this hallowe'en's eve what else but a Hallowe'en project:-

I'm just loving these coins (as well as the cards), so I've made a pair…

So, both bases, were painted with orange, red and yellow acrylic paint and then had black added around the edges.  Hallowe'en was stamped onto painted paper and added along with some Tim Holtz Halloween pieces - and paper dolls were added. Some doodling was added around the edges using ink pens.

Pink Ribbons and threads

Hello, the theme this week, over on the Tando Creative blog, is:-

Pink Ribbons and Threads for breast cancer awareness month.

Here is my project:-

The base is a Tando ATC (Artist Trading coin) which was painted with Paperartsy Fresco acrylic paint.  Once dry another hue of pink was added through the bubbles stencil (which is vastly becoming my favourite, and much used stencil).  A deeper tone of pink was added to act as my "threads".  I tied a ribbon with pink ribbon and added some small pink flowers, with some stickers to finish off the piece.

Do pop on over to the blog this week where you will find loads of great pink and threads inspiration for breast cancer awareness month.

I, for one, can't wait to see what everyone has created, but, I have to wait until I get my copy of the magazine.

So, this week, over on the blog the Tando DT are sharing with your their makes, today its my turn… with this:-

Artist Trading Coins

Hello, I'm just coming to the end of two weeks off work and its been a lovely relaxing time (apart from starting Sian's old bedroom!!, several trips to the dump and all that decorating entails!) - its also given me a chance to catch up on some crafty projects and to partake in the Paperartsy fortnightly challenge - the theme for the last two weeks are Artist Trading Coins so I'm in!! lol

Here is one of the coins I've created…

The base is a Tando Creative AT coin and I added grungepaste thro' a stencil… I then added Paperartsy fresco chalk acrylic on the top, blending in four colours… I then stamped one of the flowers from Tracy Scotts ETS07 set, coloured and cut out and adhered to the top of the coin - a couple of stickers were then added to finish it off….

Tando - September colours

Hi,

Can you believe that its September already? before we know it it will be Christmas - how many crafters, I wonder, have already started on their Christmas cards?

Today, its my turn over on the Tando Creative blog.  This week is the colour theme week, and the palette for September is:-

lovely autumnal colours aren't they?

In keeping with other months, here is my mixed media board number 9

One of the larger chipboard boards was used as my base and was painted using acrylic paint.  The bubbles stencil was also used on the background along with some doodling.

My focal image was some elements left over from the whimsical birds 2 set.

Pop on over to the Tando blog and see some other colour based themes.
