Tando Colours

Hello,

In this horrid time that we're living in at the moment, its nice to escape to my craft room.  To have my lovely paints, stencils, stamps, inks around me and to play.  For once, to be happy with what I've got and to create using what's to hand… Ok, I still look, but, at the moment its look only lol.

Today its my turn over on the tando blog, and as usual, the first week of the month is our colour week;Aprils colours are:-

lovely bright yellows to cheer us up… and in line with my theme for this year, here is my book and files for the 366 challenge for April.

It not too late to join in the challenge - The books, files, paper and template are available here and the challenge is here

Do pop on over to the Tando Blog and see what my teemies have come up with this week.

Create Art

Hello to all my visitors on this rather strange Wednesday.

Whats happening world wide is scary isn't it, and just a little surreal.  I have never experienced empty shelves in the supermarket and to see the elderly looking so dejected, after a harrowing trip to get there too I suspect, is just heart breaking.  I for one haven't stockpiled! if we are on lock down for any period of time we will have to eek out what we have and manage on what we can get.  I can't believe the greed of some!

Anyway, a way to lighten our souls is to sit in our craft room/area and create art…

This is my project for Bubbly Funk this week - week 3 of the bee too…… pop along and see how I created it…

Stay safe and healthy everyone xx

Hap-bee Birthday

Hello, what sad and scary times we are currently in.  With mass hysteria in the shops and businesses' closing and staff encouraged to work from home, where will it end.  I suppose the fact that China is now opening its borders to visitors gives us hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  However, the way that people are behaving, stock piling in a way that is selfish and totally irresponsible is shameful!

Anyway, putting all that to one side for a while.  I spent the afternoon playing with my gelli plate and make loads of prints ready to use for my projects.

The stencil was from the indigo-blu mixed media pack which can be found in the bubbly-funk shop.

Here is my finished Hap-bee birthday card:-

Tando - March colour

Hello, Sunday again, where are the weeks going? its scary how quick time flies - is that just a case of getting older?

Today its my turn over on the Tando blog.  This week has been the monthly colour week.  The colours for March have been:-

great colour ways hey?

So, inline with this years monthly colours, here is my March folder for the 366 challenge:-

and my inner sheets

the casing and inner files were painted with black acrylic and then stencilled bases to two of them, with hand drawing (can't you tell????) to the rest.  The patterns were then coloured in using acrylic paint…dots added with posca pens.

The kits are available here and here on the Tando website.  The challenge page is here with the daily prompts being published one facebook.

Don't forget to pop over to the blog and see what my wonderful teamies are up to.

Flight….

Hello, what a blustery day out there today… I've just popped to the shop and its mayhem with rubbish flying everywhere.  The river has broken its bank flooding the neighbouring fields.  We are lucky that we haven't got it as bad as some, and my heart goes out to those that have lost their homes and sentimental possessions…

Today its my turn to post over on the Tando blog.  The theme this week has been "flight" and I decided that my project will be one of the large Tando tags:-

The base was painted with acrylic paint and then stencilled using my favourite bubbles stencil.  Some paint doodling and stamping was also added.

The butterflies and funky bird are from the mini sets that come in a large tag…loads of elements at a great price.

Di is at Hochanda tomorrow with some fabulous new products, and as usual the DT have all added their style to them, don't forget to check in….
