September Colour post

Hello, and welcome to my very neglected blog - thank you for visiting today.

This week is the monthly colour theme week over on the Tando Blog and today is my turn to show my ATC's for September.

I decided to create a card and coin for this month.  Both basically the same techniques and colours.

Firstly, this month's colour scheme:-

Now for my artists trading card:-

I used paperartsy fresco paints for my cards this month.  I painted the bases and, in my head, I envisaged a sort of crackled/weathered look for my base, but, it doesn't matter which product I use, how I use it, nothing cracks! the only way I get a crackled effect is to stamp it, but, that didn't look right! so after another failure I decided to use a baby wipe and rub most of the paint back leaving a little behind! not quite what I envisaged, but, not too bad.

If you saw the recent Hochanda shows with Di sharing the new tagged elements, you will have seen these cute birds on one of the tags - there are several different designs and all great sizes, see here.  I adore these birds, so much freedom to create just what you want with no restrictions and everyone different!

So, you've seen the card, now for the coin:-

Anything goes

Hello, Saturday again where are the weeks going?

This week has been an "Anything goes" week over on the Tando blog and today its my turn to share this Kate Crane Divided box kit.  I already have one in my craft room which is full of my tags, atc's (coins and cards) and I needed another for this years projects…

Using the techniques detailed in Di Olivers recent Hochanda show's I embossed some painted cardstock and adhered this to the sides rather than painting direct onto the greybeard.

Elements from the Andy Skinner Industrials kit finished off my bookplate.

Monthly record

Hello,

Years ago there used to be a monthly inspiration blog to create "calendar" pages for the month and to keep a record of your daily events through out that month - I keep trying to keep a diary to record daily events but they only last a couple of days, so, I decided to try this idea again.

The full steps are over on the Bubbly funk blog today, but, here is the finished piece (as at 31.07.19 lol)

How long?

Hello All,

I can't believe how long its been since I last blogged.  It was a bit of a job logging in to be honest, I had to remember passwords and all sorts - did wonder if I'd lost my blog, but, relief! its still here.

Today I'm blogging for Tando Creative.  This week its the colour theme and this is the colour palette for May:-

Isn't it a pretty selection?

So, here's my ATC coin for the month…

The Tando Creative AT Coin was painted using paperartsy fresco paint in stone.  I then added my colour layers.  Using one of the longer stencils I added some circles, before adding a Tim Holtz figure and saying.
