Tando spookylicious

What other theme could be for this week? Here is my spookylicious piece:-

I used a coffin base left over from the layered coffin with cobweb set and painted orange, I then stencilled using black ink and the cobweb 2 mask.  A spider from the grab bag of spiders and a couple of mini skulls finished off my spooky piece.

Embossing week

Hi, has anyone else been having problems with blogger? I could write up all my DT pieces but unable to get onto my own blog…still, never mind, here now….with my piece for this weeks "embossing" theme over on the tando blog…I decided to dry emboss with a Tim Holtz hallowe'en embossing folder…

I painted a mixed media board with black paint, then once dry ran it thro' my bigshot with the Tim Holtz embossing folder - I then added further paint and treasure gold to the raised images.  The word Halloween, is a new product for Tando and was painted using DecoArt Media fluid acrylics in paynes grey and quinacridone gold.

Faery Doors

Hi, the theme over on the Tando blog this week is Faery doors - Tando now have a Faery Door Kit 1 out and I have used this for my project:-

The door base was given a coat of dark brown acrylic paint and then a layer of Paperartsy Crackle glaze - the green is the new edition paint by Paperartsy called "Granny Smith" …once dry the edges were given a brushing of distress ink.  The bricks were painted and then dry brushed.  I would seriously recommend that you keep all packaging until you have adhered these bricks to the actual base!  I made a pair of wellies out of clay and molded a plant pot - three flower minis were painted and doodled…the post box was cut from some corrugated packaging….the toadstool is in the kit and was given a dusting of fairy dust!!

Pop on over to the Tando blog for more Faery projects during the week.

Tando Creative - Book covers week

Hi, its book covers week over on the Tando Creative blog and today its my turn to share my project:-

I painted the base with the new Paperarsty limited edition paints - I just love Granny Smith!, I also used the same colours to stamp onto the base.  Doodling with white and black pens was then added.

The "straps" were adhered together and then I added the nuts - I then painted these (with Granny Smiths) and then dry brushed before adding treasure gold.

Journal was handwritten onto the base and doodled.
