Over on the Happy Daze blog the challenge for May is "May Queen"...so I've created this:-
ok, so it might not fit into whats perceived as "May Queen" but the text did say:- "Interpret the theme as you see it" - the birds could be female and they do have a crown and the base is regal purple!!! lol I do hope that it meets with the rules!!
The base is a canvas board which was covered with dylusions paints, once dry more paint was picked up using a baby wipe and dabbed on, this was then overstamped with various stamps....the base swirl was stamped and then embossed with gold embossing powder. The "queens" are made from ten seconds metal in ivory with viva decor inka gold smeared over the top.

Stampotique ATC
The Stampotique Designers challenge this time is to create an ATC....
so, here's mine
The white base was sprayed with Dylusions spray inks and then spritized with biscotti perfect pearls.....I then stamped using black ink using the swirls stalk stamp then doodled, aka Kaz - the word stamp and "Head" were stamped onto another piece of white cardstock and coloured in using distress inks. The words were cut out and the edges re-inked before adding a layer of glossy accents.

Thank You Mr Blogger!
for changing things..................rofl
I've made a couple of these cards for my OH to say Thank You to a few people - using scraps from Pink Paislees SheArt and cutting flowers out using the Tattered flower garland (so love that die!) and a really cheap Thank You stamp I've had for yonks!!
Now this is the first post I've attempted to do since it all changed, but, I thought I'd better give it a go since I'm hosting the Tando Creative Challenge this month!! if it all goes pear shaped you'll all have to bear with me...

Keep Calm and Carry On!
This must be the phrase for 2012 and you can keep calm about just about everything from coffee to "other things" although I must say, if you drink loads of coffee how can you keep calm?? lolxx
Anyway the reason for the title is:-
All layers of the Tando Creative frame were joined together using a wet glue, the front was then coloured using distress inks and then overstamped before being spritzed with perfect pearls. The base plate was covered with paper from the Portobello Road range, the Union Jack and banner are also from the same range. All of the stamps used in this project are by Artistic Outpost and are the "London Underground" set must say this set has been used and used since I bought it a month ago.....The guard is also off one of the stamps. The telephone box is the smaller one from the Tando Creative London selection......this was painted with acryllic paint and then using black and white pens detailing added back in.

Bramford Crop girls Challenge - Altered book
Janina, Janet, Karen, Nancy, Tracey and I all attend the crop at Bramford and each month we challenge each other! we all take it in turns to set the challenge and usually I'm the one that gets "oh no, what are we going to do with that!!" rofl this time I think Janina got it!! lol - I loved the idea of altering the childrens book that we were given, but, I do think that some of the others found it a real challenge - one of which we all have completed.
So, here's my finished piece...
The cover.................this was posted in a previous blog post....
This book is the result of MANY hours of work....pages have been glued together and a niche cut out of half the book at the back, each page was painted, inked, sprayed, stamped, doodled and glued!! lol I think that page 6 might need a little something extra....will have to work on that one...

1st April 2012
Did you get caught out by any April Fools Jokes? I noticed several out there and had a laugh - wonder how many I think are ingenious and will turn out to make me look slighty dumb!! lol
Over at Tando Creative Challenge blog we have a new theme for April....this month we are asking you to use Yellow and Green on your projects - you don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do you'll be entered into the draw twice. There aren't a lot of rules but please check to see if your creation meets the critieria.
Here is my piece:-
The base is canvas board which was painted with yellow and green paints....then white lines and circles added - these were then hi-lighted with yellow touches. The butterfly, leaves, swirls and flowers are all tando which have been painted and stamped and inked and then covered with Ranger Crackle glaze....
Pop on over to the Tando challenge blog it would be great to have some of you join in...xx
