....if you've never seen the gorgeous pieces that Linda creates pop on over to her blog for a bit of serious eyecandy!!
Good luck with the draw too...

The base is one of the lovely wavy edged arches. It has been coloured using a variety of the new DI's ...... the image is by stampington and was stamped direct to the board...her skirt was then coloured using watered down distress ink....the foliage was then stamped and hi-lighted using a glitter pen....the image was then coated with glossy accents and the edges daubed with gold acryllic...I was going to add something else but decided it looked better left alone!
I am loving these arch shapes, have you noticed? actually I love them all but the arches and dominos are my favs....anyway today I have used direct to surface technique to colour my base....this was done using a versamagic ink pad, then I stamped about 5 different background stamps onto the piece, all by various manufacturers....some of the edges were then hi-lighted with a white pen. I then took a piece of wire and threaded some beads and wrapped this around the shape. A domino shape was then coloured with another versamagic ink pad and then stamped, clear embossing powder was then added to give it a sheen...the domino was then matted onto a brown piece of card and then adhered over the metal wire. Gold dauber was then added to the edges.
The background is basic grey paper which I have had for ages and this is the last piece! the image is "the crafter" by stampotique which was stamped onto a piece of card which had various distress inks applied doodles around the outside framed the figure....this was then matted onto a brown piece of card, flowers and bling by prima, cosmo cricket tiny type letters and "40" from MM finish off the piece....Happy Birthday Ang!"
Background paper, Rum and Raisin by Paperartsy, the centre piece was cut from board and then painted with black acryllic then stamped onto with versamagic ink. The corners had viva ferro applied and whilst still wet stamped into them with a text stamp, when dry I dry brushed with acryllic paint. Archie in the centre has been created using ten seconds studio metal, puffed out and filled with GA's then adhered to the piece...the outside was daubed with gold.....the butterfly was covered with text paper and inked and his tail is glass effect gel from viva...loving that stuff at the mo - and a grungepaper rose with a piece of prima bling finished it off.....!! "Happy Birthday karen, have a great day!"
its not exactly what I had in mind, and where have you heard that already this week??? The base is black cardstock cut to 3"x3", the music paper is by 7 gypsies and was cut to 3X3 and then torn, the stamps are all from inkadinkadoos rock start set...and the little piano is a charm from a cheapo shop....if I get time this weekend I'm going to make another one and hopefully by then I'll have a bigger area than 4"x4" to work in and be able to find stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know how you get an idea in your head and it doesn't pan out...well, this started off as one of those episodes. The whole reason behind Joanne and I doing these white board pieces is to see how much the board will take so....here's what happened:-
The white background card was coloured slighly with distress inks, its very subtle so barely visable. The stamps are from Art Journey and stamped in black - to add a bit if colour the chipboard heart has been coloured with one of the new distress inks, Barn Door, and three little bits of bling complete the piece.
The arch was painted with the Terra and then left to dry. Once dry I then rubbed distress stickles onto the corners and along the edges, I then stamped a paperartsy stamp with black ink and then a gold clock charm was added. The edges were hi-lighted with gold dauber. The piece was then adhered to a brown piece of card which had been edged with utee. The background paper on the card is from seven gypsies, text paper was adhered to grungepaper and butterflies stamped and then cut out, these were adhered to the card using silicone gel.
not the easiest thing in the world to photograph, but irl its really striking!

..bless!!

The base is the new jigsaw piece - I just love altering jigsaws....the first layer was the bronze crocco which I plastered on quite thick inorder to get the deep crevices and then to hi-light same, I added distress stickles - unfortunately, I didn't like it, so added more crocco in blackberry - most board would have struggled with the amount of paint and textures thrown at it, but, it hasn't warped or separated in anyway, shape or form - which is great when you change your mind with pieces (as often as me!! lol). The cracks were hi-lighted using a gold dauber. The middle section is a moo shaped piece of board covered with textured metal, a flower and some watch parts finished it all off.
you can see where the water was splashed....this piece was then used to create:-
the stamp is the current freebie from Craft stamper, the circles were hi-lighted with a white pen and the outside daubbed with gold acryllic.
The basis of the book is Claudine Hellmuth's sticky back canvas - I cut 6 pieces of 4" square and did the background for each sheet whilst still on the backing. when coloured I then stuck the pages to each other and punched the holes for fixing with a crop-a-dile, each page was then decorated and the edges daubed with gold acryllic paint. When complete book rings were used to hold the pages together.
page 2 - painted using acryllic paint - and a mask which only the edges were painted over. The image is one from Crafty individuals. lace and ribbon were added diagonally across the page.
page 4 - painted with acryllic paint and stamped over with text stamp and sequin waste - centre panel is a piece of stampboard coloured with chalk ink and stamped with a paperartsy stamp - buttons finish off the corner...
painted with stream dauber, flowers as previous - a few gems finish it off.
