A friend turns 30 at the weekend. I can show her card here, cos, as a new parent she's got her hands far too full to go blog hopping!! lolxx

The card base is pink pearlescent and it doesn't matter where I go to take the picture the top always looks a different colour to the bottom (I even got Steve to photograph it yesterday, but, his photos are the same!). The papers are all scraps I've rescued !! (Reggie!! lolx) or had in the "scraps" box - the magnolia image has been coloured in using water colour pencils, primas and flowers, cricut circle and rub ons finish it all off!
I was recently asked by Wendy who produces the blog for
Papermaze to do an article for their
blog using alcohol inks - and it was published today - so, drop on over and let me know what you think, I hope that it inspires you to have a go with those inks and create some lovely pieces - if you don't have the supplies, Vanessa has put a link to items in her shop.
I prepared three items for the piece, one the cd is several posts down, the other was a layout, again from my Nans 88th party and the second a card using the inked acetate method!

All the papers on the layout are alcohol inked - a scrap was used to make the tag too.....The metal tag on the card has also been inked, and the butterflies were made by stamping onto waste acetate and when dry cutting out, adding some stickles to add bling finished it off!
TFL xx
