Stampotique - use an image twice

The challenge over at Stampotique is to use a stamped image twice.  The usual thoughts of a playing card, mirror image etc had all been done, and you know me like to be a bit different and think outside the box rather than following the crowd...so, I came up with this:-

Using Tim Holtz's new distress inks I inked up a sheet of white cardstock, and then stamped the scroll border by Roe Nicholas twice and cut them out....then I stamped Daniel Torrente's Gill twice, quite close together....I then adhered these to a plain white square card.....

When you turn it over you get this...................

lol!

Hazels' Christmas Challenge

I had every intention of joining Hazel every week inorder to ensure I had enough Christmas Cards this year without the usual rush! but, to date I think I've joined in 3/4 times... guess I'd better try harder hey!

This week we had to get inky...do you think this counts?

For this card  have used:- dylusions/ranger spray inks, distress inks, distress stains, watercolour pencils, gold ink and dip pen....

Why don't you pop on over to Hazel's Crafty Hazel's Christmas Challenge and try and get some of your Christmas cards done too.....

Simon says Stamp...show us brown

Over on the Simon Say's Stamp and show blog the theme for this week is "show us some brown...."

so, here is my brown..

The base is a Tim Holtz tag die cut from cream cardstock which was coloured using distress stains, the same stains were then used to create splats before sequin waste and distress inks finished off my background.  The papers are by Graphics 45 and are from the Curiosity Shoppe 8x8 pad....the rosette, another Tim Holtz die was cut from the kraft pad, byt the same good man!! ....I coloured a piece of vintage ribbons using the stains, attached a couple of charms and a beaded pin, the small gems at the bottom are by prima.

Tando Creative Challenge Blog

Every Wednesday over on the Tando Challenge Blog a DT member takes it in turns to showcase their monthly project - this week its my turn.

The challenge for June is to use "FABRIC" here is my piece

The base is a tando arch which was covered with red polka dot material....then I added a slip of lace...Tando buttons were covered with hessian and then colour added with distress inks and a bit of bakers twine threaded thro' the middle....the bobbins and body form are grungeboard cut from a die with distress inks added for shading and ribbon and hessian once again added.  A piece of ribbon along the bottom tied three times, some beaded trim and the letters finish it off.

Why don't you pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the other DT members have created? and, if you take part, one lucky winner chooses a selection of Tando goodies all from them!!

Here in the UK its Father's Day....having been and seen my Dad this morning with his gift and these:-

I thought I would now share.

The tag was coloured using distress inks and then a mask, stamps by Tim Holtz,,,then glossy accents added once dry doodles and inking around the edges to finish.

for the card I coloured some plain cardstock using distress inks, then stencilled with distress ink and then paint....then I overstamped using the same distress inks.  The paper is by Graphics 45 off matted onto glassine, the happy fathers day is a stamp I've had since forever! and the men a Tim Holtz stamp....

I'm also putting this forward to Sunday Stampers...

Sunday

I don't know why but everytime I turn around its Sunday night, another week over, another weekend finished and back to work the next day!! not that I mind Sunday nights, just wish they didn't arrive so quickly and over so fast!

Its been nearon a week since I last blogged and boy have things happened around here!! Josh is now home from Uni for the summer, he goes back in September, so I've gone from not seeing him for 6 months to having him home for nearly 3 months!!!!!!!!!!! he is doing so well at Uni - after starting so late, his grades are excellent and he's doing really well fending for himself and making some really good friends - so proud of the way he's coping with things too...there might be a possibility of him having a reversal but we're still awaiting the final outcome of his analysis before any final decision is made - he's living his life to the full so there's no hurry!

Josh has also celebrated his birthday - I haven't taken a piccie of his card yet - but, in the same week my dear friend Gez also celebrated her birthday and her card I did take a piccie of....

I'm loving these papers by Graphics 45 - they are the old curiosity shoppe - I just adore the flying pigs! the butterfly is made from clearly for art product and has been stamped using a gold dauber and a Wendy Veechi Studio 460 stamp....a wooden flower and a swirly flower made from a circle finished it all off....
