Its Month 2 week 7

on SCD can't believe we're on week 7 all ready, where has that time gone??

This week is our last TAG week and I'm in the chair to choose the theme.

So, its

CROWNS

so, here's my crown tag:-

Due to time restraints I made all my tags for the month together, its only now I realise how similar they all are!! I must admit I do go thro' stages of using things and then moving on I'm back in my distress inked backgrounds at the mo and overstamping with white hi-lights...had you noticed?? roflxx Anyway, white card cut into a tag, coloured with various distress inks and over stamped with T!m's stamps and then hi-lighted with a white pen. The girl was then stamped onto the tag and then again onto a painted chipboard crown, the crown was then matched over the stamped image.....little pearls were then added to the tips of the crowns. BTW the girl stamp is queens dresser drawers and not one of T!m's.

This week is our last week with our lovely guest designer, Kath. Thank You kath for being our very first GD and we've loved your fantastic tags...xx If you haven't visited Kath's blog please do as she does some gorgeous creations, well worth a visit to see some lovely eye candy.

Pop on over to the SCD blog and see what the other DT members have come up with and I hope join in the fun this week. Don't forget its a new challenge next week as its a new month....wonder what it could be???

another card...

...is needed! this time for my Brothers wedding which is on Saturday! so with mojo still running on empty it was a trawl thro' the sketch challenge blogs to see what I could do...and I came across Saturday Sketchers...

and this is what I did:-

all the papers are from Ambrosia by Basic grey with doodling around the edges, a few rub ons and a charm. The couple is a stampington stamp. The wedding is orange and cream based so hence my colour scheme.

Happy Fathers Day!

Hope all Dad's out there have had a good day....

The inside of the card was also decorated using the granola range. The card was supposed to be entered for last weeks Saturday sketch but I was far too late!! lolx

And his tag.....

Plain white card cut into tag shape, coloured with broken china distress ink, stamps from T!m's visual artistry packs stamped on top - the DAD letters were from T!m's grunge alphabet set...all black ink hi-lighted with white pen...

1 to 10

Each month my friend Anne and I do a swap - we have a running ATC theme which we do 3 a month and then 3 other ATC's which we take in turns to choose the theme and then along with Mandy we make 9 twinchies a month and take it in turns to choose the theme for those too.....this last running ATC theme we decided to do 1-10 and for a change I decided to make all ten into a set.....so here there are:-

All of the numbers were cut on the cricut using the black letter cart....and these were cut on co-ordinations cardstock which was then run thro' the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. Each set of three were then stamped and hi-lighted to make their "set" using various stamps and turquoise chalk ink which was also used to edge each white card. Each number was given its number in gems too....then I added different sayings for each number, so; 1= 1p for them, 2 = terrible twos, 3 = 3's a crowd, 4 = time 4 tea, 5 = 5 high, 6 = half a dozen, 7= lucky 7, 8= figure of 8, 9 = 9 lives and 10 = perfect 10!

its hearts time....

This week over at SCD its Gez's turn to choose the theme and her turn to do the write up!

So, the theme for this weeks tag is:- HEARTS

Here's mine:-

Base is a piece of white card cut into a tag shape, this was then coloured using distress inks....then stamped with the harlequin stamp from Tim's visual artisty french market collection and a swirl from the same set, each was high lighted using a white pen. The heart is a wooden heart which was coloured with a dauber and then over stamped, hi lighted with white pen again, the text is from another visual artistry set and stamped on a spare piece of distressed card which I then tore and hi-lighted the edges with gold dauber, some turquoise pearls were added to finish off the heart....fibres were added to finish it all off....

Pop on over to the SCD blog and see what the other Dt'ers and our special GD have come up with. I hope that you will be inspired to join in the fun and share your great tags with us as we all love visiting the different blogs and seeing what you've all been upto...

Its Friday....

....the first in a new months so its double fun day today!! (oh and I've got the day off too...which makes it even better!! lolx)

So, over on SCD, its new challenge and new theme day.

The new challenge is "TAGS"

and the new theme is "STARS AND STRIPES"

Here's mine:-

Wanted to try a different take on the theme and there it is.... it all started off as a white piece of card!! influenced by T!m's demo on acryllic resist I painted on the stripes - then inked over with distress inks....then spritzed with radiant rain irridescent gold. various stamping then followed! the star in the middle was cut on the cricut and coloured with distress inks then stamped with a little swirl stamp - the centre is another clay face - I spent the entire day Sunday making loads of shapes out of clay and cooking them, or letting them air dry now I have loads to use!! bit of white hi-lighting and a few gems finished it all off.....

This month on SCD we also have our very first GD joining us. Kath has agreed to do our tag month and we are really pleased to have her join us. As you all remember Kath, Dawn and I used to be on the TYI team...so its nice to be back together again for the month.

I hope that you all pop on over to SCD and see the fabbie tags that the dt and our special GD have come up with and I'm hoping that you'll all be inspired to give it a go and join us this week.

Triangle ATC's....

over on the Bubbly Funk forum I've organised a Triangle ATC swap....

Here are my efforts:-

I cut an atc into a triangle and then stamped the lady from art journey onto each triangle, using a mask I then inked the backgrounds with distress inks, stamped over each one with a selection of text stamps and butterflies, added a spritz of Radiant Rain irridescent gold spray and a few gems and voila finished!

Don't forget to take a look at the SCD blog on Friday. A new month a new challenge and as its Friday a new theme and we've also got our very first guest designer joining us...so, pop along and see what the DT have come up with and join in the fun...
