Ghosties and Ghoulies and long legged beasties!

...is the title for this weeks challenge over on Tag you're it this week - well, with it being Hallowe'en what else could it be??

Here's my take:-

The background for the tag is chalked and the witch is a penny black stamp which has been hi-lighted with an orange wash - the bats and moon and pumpkins are all brads, larger pumpkin from an atc book.

Pop over to the tag you're it blog to see the other dt tags, they are totally gorgeous and join us in some fun creating your own tag....

Have a lovely Hallowe'en and for those witches out there don't create too much havoc! lol

Embossed ATC's....

These ATC's have been made for a swap with a dear crafting buddy

The backgrounds have all been painted with the ranger daubers, just loving those colours at the moment, the embossing down the side was done with a cuttlebug embossing file and then hi lighted with the gold dauber (loving that product at the mo) gems finished them off...hope my swap partner likes them xx

"Make your own....."

...is the challenge for the final leg of the Sassy Crafts design team selection - the brief is to Make your own ...... make anything you like on any theme with any colour scheme but all the embellishments must be your own work......

So,

Here's my offering:-
I cut the base shape out of white textured card, this was then painted with a Stream dauber and hi-lights added with the citrus dauber, the edges where stippled in gold. The gold edges down the middle are a cuttlebug embossing folder - which was then hi-lighted with the gold dauber, spots of crystal stickles finish off the centres. The ladies face is a stamp which has been watercoloured, I then doodled on her face...all highlighted with white pen. I made the beaded pins from coloured beads and a stick pin, the butterflies have been made using fantasy film, the trails are turquoise stickles. For the flowers I took a book page and coloured it using chalk inks, daubers and glimmer mists, to give it a bit of stability I stuck it down onto white paper, I then traced around a flower in two different sizes and cut them out, these were then teased and folded into shape the centres are bronze and crystal stickles.

Fingers crossed now.....I'll keep you posted.

Sassy Crafts DT call ....

.....Emma, over on Sassy Crafts, has put a call out for DT entrants! so, here's my "application"...

STAMPED IMAGE
This is a mini canvas I made for a friend. The background is coloured with distress inks and the central image is stamped, the word "DIVA" is stamped across the middle and down one side. The piece is finished off with UTEE in two corners and a metal embellishment in an other.

FAVOURITE PIECE
...is a recent tag. The base has been cut on the cricut and covered with basic grey paper and then stamped with various background stamps, in brown ink....a green piece of co-ordinations paper has been torn and embossed with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. A cricut frame has been cut in black card and stamped in gold with a crackle stamp, the man insert is a paperartsy stamp stamped onto the same background paper. Some prima flowers, pearl gems and ribbon finish off the tag...

NEW PIECE - One large square and three smaller squares:-

The large square is the main shape - this has been stamped with a text stamp and 2/3rd run thro' the cuttlebug with the swiss dots.... Stampingtons Crimson fan stamp was stamped onto corresponding card stock, shaded and then three Tim Holtz Fragments were placed over and cut to make the smaller squares....the outsides of the squares were distressed using gold and bronze daubers, a pices of black ribbon and black pearls finished off the card...

Autumn....

....is the theme over on tag you're it this week - go check out the fabbie tags the girls have made...

I'm feeling rather sorry for myself today, thanks to my Son, Josh, I've now got an awful cold - couldn't sleep last night, my sinus' are tight, I've a raging head and puffy eyes and I'm achey all over.....not looking good - about 100 I'd say!! lolxx so I'm not going to do a lot today!!

Sian had a lovely birthday....her friends spoilt her rotten all day and in the evening we all went out with Grandparents and Great Grandparent for a lovely meal....a Baby Piccie Cake and a lovely prom photo in the paper sealed it all off.....Thank You all for her Happy Birthday wishes...

haven't seen many of these....

for a while! lol These inchies are for a monthly swap I do with a couple of my ol' forum friends....

The theme for these ones was Da Vinci....

We currently do a theme a month and take it in turns to choose - its a lovely way to share and create.

Well, tomorrow is a big day in this house - my daughter, Sian, turns 18! boy where did that go - we've been perusing the baby photos, you know for those embarrassing piccies in the paper and such like, and it only seems like yesterday, the baby, the toddler, baby brother, moving houses and now she's a beautiful young lady! just seems to have flown pass....looking back at the photos also bring back loving memories of dearly departed grandparents, my Granddad would have loved the celebrations planned for tomorrow and I know that my Nan and I will both look at each other with that look ..........on a more positive note, had to double check the man holding Sian as a baby, can't remember my OH looking that young and handsome!! what happened there then?? roflxx (mind you he could very well say the same about me!! lolxx)

As always, thank you for taking the time to read and look at my blog and for the lovely comments, I really appreciate them.....xx

Well!

I have an announcement to make......a few weeks ago, Anne and Sam, over on Tag you're it, asked me if I would consider becoming part of their design team - and so I have joined along with Dawn, Kath and Sarah in becoming part of the new team! So, I hope that you will all pop over to the Tag you're it blog and join in the fun....

This weeks theme is "Altered Fabric Flowers" and here's my take:-

The background of the tag is my latest fav technique!, the flower started off white and has been embossed, distressed, sprayed, stamped and beaded, the flower in the centre was stamped with a text stamp a brad thro' the middle and of course the usual beaded pin! finished it off....

Inspired piece....

I know I've already posted today, but, I wanted to post this piece too..... during my Ally Pally visit, and in the post further down, I mentioned that I stood watching Leandra from paperartsy, well, taking with me her techniques I have made this atc......

The base is white card which has been inked over with distress inks, the base was then glimmer misted and then stamped with the paperartsy bubbles stamp. Using a cuttlebug embossing file the side was embossed and then hi-lighted with a gold dauber. The image was stamped onto a leftover piece of alcohol inked card and mounted, the edges of the atc were distressed using a cutting tool, bling and doodles finished it off.....irl the colours are a little more vibrant!
